Abstract: | ![]() Describes 2 experiments in which RT practice preceded a tachistoscopic recognition task. Ss were 108 and 180 undergraduates, respectively. The amount of positive transfer obtained was shown to be a function of both the type of RT task and the amount of RT practice. This transfer was attributed to the learning of an attentional response to the foreperiod which was the same length in both tasks.
