Distribution and Forming Characteristics of Natural Gas Hydrates and Its Developing Foreground in Our Country

Natural gas hydrates are very important unconventional energy and recently having been paid great attention to in the world. The paper has summarized the aspects of chemical and physical characteristics, the existing form, the structure type and the research history of natural gas hydrates, as well as the forming condition and distribution characteristics of natural gas hydrates, i.e., in permanent frozen earth and ocean regions. Concerning the enormous amount of natural gas hydrates, it has a great developing foreground, though comprehensive techniques are needs. Finally, the research and exploration status and countermeasure of natural gas hydrates in China are put forward.
