摘    要:在多媒体计算机系统中,信息从单一媒体到多种媒体,若要表示传输和处理大型数字化了的声音、图片、影像视频信息等,数据量是非常大的,因而数据压缩也就成为今天多媒体领域研究的热点。其中由于小波压缩的压缩比高,图像质量好,具有极强的自适应性等优良特性使其成为数据压缩领域的研究重点,并且在图像处理和语音识别等领域中得到了广泛关注和应用。
