Abstract:This article is concerned with the experimental determination of mechanical and fracture mechanical properties (under static and cyclic loading) of the aluminum alloy GD AlSi9Cu3, changed die casting process parameters and quenched in water as well as aged. The data obtained from the tests are then used to assess the castings with respect to failure risk.
