Abstract: | PbS micro- and nanostructures with different morphologies and particle sizes were obtained via a simple hydrothermal reaction between lead oxalate, Pb(C2O4)2, and thioglycolic acid (TGA) as Pb2+ and the sulfur source and the capping agent, respectively. Products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ultraviolet–visible (UV–vis) spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra. The effects of temperature, reaction time and the type of Pb2+ source on the morphology and particle sizes of products were investigated. |
