| Abstract: | The plastics industry in China has been developing very fast. The average annual rate of growth from 1980 to 1991 was 11% , and the production capacity of plastics attained 3.94 millon tons with the output of 2.84 millin tons in 1991. The consumption of plastics is increasing, with 3.81 million tons in 1991. It is estimated that the consumption will achieve 4.65 million tons and the output will reach 4.25 million tons in 1995. |
