Geological Disaster Development Characteristics and Controlling Factors Analysis in Wufeng county,Western Hubei Province

In Wufeng county,the primary geological disaster types are landslide,rock fall,unstable slope,karst collapse and debris flow,especially the landslide and rock fall are the primary development types.The investigation and statistical data demonstrate that the development of geological disaster in time and space are controlled by the factors as geographic and geomorphic conditions,formation lithology,geologic structure,rainfall,human engineering activities and so on.The occurrence of geological disaster threats people’s life and property security.In order to avoid heavy losses,the authors utilize the statistical method to analyze each geological disaster controlling factors in this article,and discuss the prevention strategy,based on the primary research of geological disaster development types and characteristic in Wufeng county.It has great important significance in geological disaster prevention.
