| Abstract: | In the paper, the polishing technologies for the automotive draw dies are reviewed. The die surface finishing processes analyzed. Topology of draw die surfaces, described with features, conducted. The best technology, floating rotation polishing with the face-contact mechanism, has been concluded. A prototype of portable, instructed, semi-auto-polisher to realize the floating rotation polishing technology is initiated, and its feasibility study is completed. |
