Noncompact groups and the excitation spectrum in superfluid helium-4 |

| Abstract: | It has been shown that the underlying symmetry algebra in the superfluid 4He can be extended to the spectrum-generating noncompact groups. This method furnishes the excitation energy of this system, exact in the framework of the symmetry algebra. |
