| Abstract: | This article first introduces the status quo of telecom market regulation in terms of regulator and regulation policy. Then, it presents the regulation policy of Korean government from four aspects, namely, asymmetrical regulation, tariff regulation, the requirement for mobile carriers providing user's telephone directory, and the regulation on the contents of mobile information. At last, it describes the development situation of Korean mobile market and the recent merging activities in South Korea. |
