Abstract: | ![]() The third generation mobile communication system features intelligence in the mobile communications technology, which means that the various functional modules of the system are implemented with intelligent processing units. The functional modules include intelligent antennas, intelligent transmission, intellignet reception, intelligent service access and intelligent network management. The unique characteristics of the intelligent antenna research is CDMA - based intelligent antenna technology. The intelligent transmission involves adaptive modulation, integrated power control , etc. For intelligent reception, the simplified minimum mean square error (S -MMSE) method proposed by the Chinese University of Science and Technology is used, providing more than 50 percent increase in number of users. Intelligent reception is managed with intelligent control, providing efficient use of channels and maximum data flow. A supervisory and monitoring method for system multiple access capability and communications capacity is described in this paper. |
