Abstract: | ![]() To clarify Geneva's research program and evaluate its contradictions in a historical perspective, an idealized reconstruction of its evolution since the 1940s is presented. The program's needs (a) to explicate the developmental decalages, the transition rule, and equilibration; and (b) to focus separately on organismic factors responsible for learning proper and cognitive development proper, are emphasized. Specific theoretical and/or methodological problems which should be confronted are discussed. (54 ref) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2010 APA, all rights reserved) |
