Influence of scale administrator on employee attitude responses.

Abstract:"The results gave support to the following hypotheses: 1. A threat to employees' feelings of anonymity results in their responding more favorably to an attitude survey than employees not so threatened. 2. A threat to anonymity results in differential amounts of response distortion depending upon the content of different items comprising the questionnaire. 3.
