Evaluation of the quality of laminated metallic materials on the basis of high-frequency endurance and damping capacity

Abstract:Experiments were carried out to examine the edurance and damping capacity of three types of laminated metallic materials based on V95 alloy produced by explosion welding, and the materials from which these laminated materials were produced were also examined. Special features of fatigue failure of laminated materials, especially branching of a fatigue crack on arrival at the boundary of the layers, are described. A method is proposed to evaluate the qualitative materials on the basis of the set of the properties of endurance and oscillation damping which makes it possible to take into account efficiently the preference system of the expert or person which takes decisions, in a wide spectrum of possible situations.Volgograd Polytechnical Institute.
