高精度可编程光衰减器的设计

摘    要:介绍了一种高精度可编程光衰减器的设计方法。光衰减由16位DAC芯片驱动MEMSVOA(Variable Optical Attenuator)来实现,通过功率监测实现自校准。采用带有16位ADC的C8051系列MCU以及对数放大器,保证电路简洁可靠,测试结果达到预定指标。

Abstract:Introduced a design approach for a high precision programmable optical attenuator. It used a MEMS VOA (Variable Optical Attenuator) which was driven by a 16 bits DAC to attenuate optical power, and monitor the power in real time for calibrating attenuated value. A C8051 MCU with 16 bits ADCs and a logarithmic amplifier were used to buildup a concise and reliable circuit. The testing result is according to the pre-concerted performance.
