Analysis on the Evolution of the Oufei Beach in Wenzhou and the Prospect of Developing its Tidal Flat Resources

The Oufei Shoal land between the Oujiang River and the Feiyun River estuary is a silting shoal land. The Lirmi seawall＇s implementation changed the tidal flow properties of surrounding sea in Wenzhou shoals and accelerated the rate of sediment siltation as well as increased the sediment accumulation in the Oufei shoal land. This article analyses from the beach evolution, the utilization of the tidal fiat resources in Wenzhou, the Oufei shoal land＇s great development potential as backup land resources in Wenzhou. The Oufei shoal land is adjacent to the economically developed areas i.n Wenzhou and Ruran with high value of development and utilization. The scientific development and utilization of tidal fiat resources of the Oufei Shoal land will provide valuable land resources to Wenzhou and Ruran, and it has great strategic significance to sustainable economic development in Wenzhou.
