| Abstract: | The chitosan derivatives were obtained by reaction of chitosan with 2,3-epoxy propyl trimethylammonium chloride and ethyl glycidyl ether. The results indidcated this chitosan derivatives were soluble in water absolute methanol ethyleneglycol and partly solube in polar solvents such as formamide, dimethylsulfoxidell. The structures of the derivatives were characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopy. |
