New System for Recycling PET-based Waste Textiles

With the improvement of living standards, demand for home textiles and clothing will grow with each passing day. The total amount of waste textiles in China is more than 25 million tons/year, but the utilization rate just less than 3%. Chemical ifber recycling has become an urgent need for the development of textile industry in China. Recycling of waste textiles is the key to solve the dual problems of resources shortage and environmental pollution in chemical fiber industry. Ningbo Dafa Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. encourages creativity and innovation based on conventional process, as a result, the company has developed a series of key technologies for the production of high value-added regenerated polyester fiber by using waste textiles and established a new system for waste textiles recycling. The project conforms to the national program of developing a circular economy, and achieves both social and environmental beneifts.
