| Abstract: | Currently simulation is the only vital tool to develop protocols and algorithms for ad hoc networks. This article describes two existing network simulator for ad hoc networks: ns 2 and GloMoSim, presents their respective software architecture and characteristics, and provides a comparison and discussion of their merits and drawbacks. Those may help to select adaptive network simulator, to extend its function, and to provide the direction of developing network simulator by oneself. |
