紫外光对阻燃聚丙烯阻燃性能的影响研究

摘    要:研究了三种不同阻燃剂的紫外光稳定性,并采用三种实验方案来分析阻燃聚丙烯(PP)紫外光照射后阻燃性能下降的原因。实验表明,膨胀型阻燃剂的光稳定性最好,八溴醚次之,十溴联苯醚的光稳定性最差;紫外吸收光谱发现十溴联苯醚比八溴醚具有更强的紫外光吸收作用,溴系阻燃剂光照后阻燃效率下降是由于阻燃剂发生了光分解反应,溴从阻燃剂基体中分离,形成自由基,降低了阻燃剂中的溴含量。阻燃聚丙烯紫外光照射后阻燃性能下降是由阻燃剂的光分解和聚丙烯基体树脂的光氧化降解两方面的因素造成的。

Abstract:The UV stability of three flame retardants was evaluated. It was found that the flame retardancy in a decreasing order was intumescent flame retardant (IFR), tetrabromobisphenol A bis (2,3-dibromopropyl ether), and decabromodiphenyl oxide. The UV analyses showed that decabromodiphenyl oxide had a stronger UV absorbency than tetrabromobisphenol A bis (2,3-dibromopropyl ether) and consequently possessed a stronger tendency of photolysis, resulting in the removal of bromine in forms of free-radicals. Both the photolysis of the flame retardant and photo-degradation of polypropylene were responsible for the reduced flame-retardancy of PP resins.
