声光可调滤波器的进展

摘    要:集成声光可调滤波器(ATOF)作为实用光通信器件,显示了巨大的潜力。其显著优点为;宽带调谐、窄线宽、低驱动功率、高速连续电调谐、同时的多波长选择等。此外,声光可调滤波器在光通信以外的领域也有广泛应用。但要把其开发为成熟的商品,还需要解决许多问题,如要改善制作的敏感性,提高中心频率的稳定性,进一步降低驱动功率,解决偏振有关性等。

Abstract:The integrated-optic acoustically tunable optical filter (ATOF) has shown considerable potential as a practical optical communication component. Its prominent advantages are broad tuning range, narrow passband, low power consumption, high speed continual electric-tuning, and simultaneous multiple-channel filtering etc. In addition, ATOF has wide application besides optical communication. But commercial exploitation of the ATOF requires solution of many problems. It is important to reduce device fabrication sensitivity and center frequency instability, to develop lower-power devices, and to Perfectpolarization-independent devices.
