Abstract: | Used the retranslation method with 32 supervisors from a national airline to develop rating forms. 13 supervisors employed the work observation method and 19 used the recall method in collecting behavioral examples. Results indicate that the difference in method did not influence supervisor agreement in reclassifying behavioral examples with regard to (a) dimension of job performance illustrated or (b) level of performance illustrated.
