| Abstract: | In extractive summarization,the extracted sentences must be reordered if we want to generate a logical,coherent and readable summary.This problem is special in multi-XML summarization because more factors should be considered when reordering sentences form different XML elements or XML files.In this paper,a sentence ordering strategy based on random surfer model in XML summarization is proposed.The order relations(chronological,positional,layer)and topic relations between tWO sentences are combined through linear combination to build a direction graph,where the vertices are sentences and edges are weight of the two relationships'combination.The scores of the sentences are computed via the PageRank algorithm and sentences are reordered according to their scores.Experimental results show the proposed algorithm can significantly improve the logicality,coherence and readability of XML summary. |
