Abstract: | This paper reports new, absolute measurements of the thermal conductivity of liquid refrigerants R11 and R12 in the temperature range 250–340 K at pressures from saturation up to 30 MPa. The measurements, performed in a new transient hot-wire instrument employing two anodized tantalum wires, have an estimated uncertainty of ±0.5%. Measurements of the thermal conductivity of toluene in the temperature range 250–340 K at pressures up to 30 MPa are also reported. |
