Experimental study on extraction of ionic rare earth ore in a region of Yunnan province

Abstract:An experimental study on the extraction of ionic rare earth ore in a certain area of Yunnan province was carried out to explore the optimal technological parameters,hoping to provide technical reference for the industrial mining of rare earth in this mining area.The results showed that the ore soil of this mine area was composed of SiO2 and Al2O3,accounting for about 90%,followed by Fe2O3 and K2O,accounting for about 8%.The grade of rare earth ion phase was 0.078%.The distribution of the extracted rare earth products showed that the content of lanthanum oxide reached up to more than 60%,and it was a lanthanum-rich light rare earth ore.In-situ leaching was recommended,and solution leaching of 2.0%reagent A was recommended,which can have a better leaching rate of rare earth.The pH value of rare earth enrichment process in mother liquor was 5.8,and the pH value of precipitation was 6.9,and qualified rare earth products can be obtained under those parameters.
