An explicit formula for the suboptimal control of linear systems

Abstract:The suboptimal control of a linear system can be expressed in terms of the system parameters by a simple, explicit formula. At the same time, the suboptimal state (trajectory) is obtained. An example is worked out to illustrate the accuracy as compared to the Riccati solution.
