| Abstract: | A new developed cutter, worm - type inserted blades gear nobbing - shaving cutter, has heen introduced, which is used in finishing middle hardness involute gear teeth. The cutter diameter is large, and its blades are packed closely, mechanically fixed together and easy to be adjusted. The work surface of the cutter is curved line helical convolute, which has slight theoretical error. Force and free processes may be carry out on the hob - machine by means of this cutter. It has been proved in practice, that hobbing - shaving cutter is very suitable to machine middle hardness involute gear. |
