| Abstract: | Based on the theory of engineering optimization,an approximative for- mula for the cost of the piping and its insulation is presented in this paper.A rea- sonable procedure is also put forward for simultaneous optimal design of the pipe diameter and the insulation thickness.The calculation results have been analyzed. |
