生物技术的研究和发展为烟草品种改良提供了新的发展契机,本文综述了萜类代谢工程的研究进展,探讨了利用萜类代谢工程进行烟草抗病性和香气品质改良的可能途径。

Abstract:
Research in metabolic engineering has provided opportunities in variety improvement in crop plants. Recent advances in terpenoid metabolic engineering research was reviewed and its prospective application in variety improvement in tobacco with special references to disease resistance and aroma quality of tobacco leaf was discussed.
