Modelling of pile foundations for nonlinear earthquake response analyses of steel template offshore structures is examined, related problems are discussed and practical solutions are recommended. A parametric investigation is then used as the basis of assessing the effects of uncertainty in some of the parameters on the response of the foundation and superstructure. |
