参数化结构设计技术与数字设计、数字建造工具的结合,改变并重新定义了当代建筑设计的过程。研究尝试探索一种新的数字设计教育模式,将建筑设计过程与数字结构设计技术相结合,并且在各种国际教育机构中讨论实验性工作坊的成果。研究的目的在于挖掘这一系列课程在启发建筑实践创新方面的潜力。

The New Integrative Digital Structural Design Process

This research intends to explore how digital design and fabrication tools enriched with parametric structural engineering transform the contemporary architectural design process, as well as define a contemporary design process in architecture based on creative digital design and fabrication methods. Furthermore, this research tries to investigate methods on how to teach this new digital design process to architecture students through alternatives to the architecture studio setting, it tries to combine the teaching of architectural design processes with teaching digital structural design technology and discusses the outcome of experimental workshops with students at different international academic institutions. The main idea is to explore the potentials of this combined learning chain to initiate innovative architectural implementations.
