| Abstract: | The hydrodynamic characteristics of a 10-cm reciprocating plate column used for counter-current gas-liquid contacting was investigated. The values of gas holdup, interfacial area and maximum throughputs achievable in this unit put it in a favourable position in comparison with other types of contactors. |
