On the relative importance of the electronic and radiative contributions to the thermal conductivity of uranium dioxide

The relative contributions of radiative and electronic heat transfer mechanisms to the thermal conductivity of uranium dioxide are considered. Uncertainties in the extrapolation of data to high temperatures are discussed, with particular reference to the thermal conductivity of the liquid phase.
