Retentivity Research on the Stitch Closure of Elastic Fabric Made of Silk Polyurethane Wraped Yarn

The tests and analyses made on the raveling degrees of stitch closure for various elastic fabrics made of silk polyurethane wraped yarn and ordinary real silk fabrics show that the former is superior to the latter in retentivity of stitch closure in tailoring process. The paper also discusses the effects of such factors as the structure of the wraped yarn, density of warp and weft and stitch structure on the stitch closure of the above fabrics.
