| Abstract: | Petroleum soluton containing asphaltenes is a colloid system.Various colloid structure model of asphalt proposed since 1924 was on tically reviewed. The shape and size of petroleum particle, mechanism of colloid formation and dynamic behaviour of particle aggregation were also discussed in detail. |
