Data warehouse and its application

The backgrounds of the data warehouse technique were reviewed in this era of information. The data warehouse is the core technology of the decision support system. The support of data warehouse of some database management systems was introduced and the relation between database management system and the data warehouse management system was discussed. Data mining technique was used to extract some latent and unknown useful information, pattern and tendency. The application of data warehouse in chemistry was also suggested.
