| Abstract: | Intensive reading course has been a predominant course in English in most English departments and sections in the institution of higher learning in China. In this paper, it is pointed out that it may be a good idea to teach intensive reading as a comprehensive course to develop students' comprehensive skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking and translation.The paper discusses how to develop the five skills in intensive reading class seperately and in detail. |
