| Abstract: | In this paper, the characteristics of IPv4 and IPv6 are summarized. Starting from the shortcomings of IPv4, the shortage of the IP address which is now widely used was elaborated and as well as a temporary solution was presented. Then the advantages of IPv6 were analyzed. Finally, the transition technology from IPv4 to IPv6 was expounded. |
