| 摘 要： | 汽车牌照识别是图像识剐领域的重要研究课题。这里运用MATLAB研究车牌识剐技术中的图像预处理、车牌定位、字符分割与字符识别等核心部分，并提出一种基于MATLAB的车牌识别系统的实现方法．综合使用多种方法提高系统的有效识别能力。该方法解决了在自然背景的图像中定位分割牌照区域、车牌倾斜和提取分割的字符等问题。通过对一定数量的图像进行处理，结果表明MATLAB在车牌识别方面的运用非常有效。
