| Abstract: | The mineral matter in coal constitutes a major impediment to the direct use of coal in power plants.A concerted effort has been mounted to reduce the ash/sulfur contents in product coal to meet theever mcre stringent environmental regulations. In recent years, significant advances have taken placein fine coal cleaning technologies. A review of recent developments in advanced physical, chemical andbiological processes for deep-cleaning of fine coal is presented. |
