| 摘 要： | 北京旧城传统城市中轴线作为北京旧城总体布局的核心 ,在北京市的历次规划中都是保护和发展的重点。本文从轴线的概念出发 ,运用文献、实证和比较的方法 ,指出北京城市中轴线区别于其他城市轴线的特征为 :第一 ,城市轴线在不同的尺度层次上存在等级的秩序 ;第二 ,在每一个尺度层次上都自北面发端而向南延伸。通过对中西方都市轴线发展过程的分析 ,从对称、方位、方向、功能、延伸、层次几个方面归纳了中西方城市轴线的异同
