Repast: an Extensible Platform for Agent-Based Modeling and Simulation

Modeling and Simulation platform creates conditions for theoretical and technological research of Agent-Based Modeling and Simulation(ABMS).Through studying the shortage of popular platforms for ABMS,it introduces a new platform named Repast,expatiates Repast's design goals,package,running mechanism etc.,and gives an example to explain the process of designing and realizing the Repast models.This platform has good transplant ability and expansibility,is easy to use and learn,thus it is convenient to study and explore the Complex Adaptive System(CAS)and the complexity by using ABMS technology,and will provide the researchers with a new way for studying CAS at the same time.
