Abstract:The influence of activated carbon to the hydrogen storage characteristics of tetrahydrofuran(abbr.THF) hydrates using a high pressure stirring gas hydrate experimental apparatus in constant volume under the temperature of 1℃,pressure of 6.4MPa,7.4 MPa and 8.4 MPa,and the THF solution mole concentration of 5.0%.The results showed that when without adding activated carbon,the average induction time is 333min,and when adding activated carbon,the average induction time is 250min,so adding activated carbon can decrease the induction time at high pressure;when without adding activated carbon,the pressure drop are 0.028 MPa,0.035 MPa,0.040 MPa respectively,and when adding activated carbon,the pressure drop are 0.030 MPa,0.040 MPa,0.090 MPa respectively,so adding activated carbon can improve the pressure drop,and the higher the pressure,the larger the pressure drop;when without adding activated carbon,the hydrogen storage capacity by weight are 0.0026%,0.0033%,0.0031% respectively,and when adding activated carbon,the hydrogen storage capacity by weight are 0.0041%,0.0048%,0.0082% respectively,so adding activated carbon can improve the hydrogen storage capacity by weight,and the higher the pressure,the larger the hydrogen storage capacity by weight.
