Progress in Recycled Aggregate and Recycled Concrete

This paper briefly describes the definition,classification,process method,properties and strengthening method of recycled aggregate.The producing craft of recycled aggregate includes processing in advance,strengthening processing and sieving.The strengthening processing is the most important in them.As the surface of recycled aggregate has enough cement mortar,the recycled aggregate has properties of larger water absorption,lower density,and high crush quantity.The water absorption is a disadvantage of recycled aggregate,and it influences the properties of recycled aggregate.Through physi-cal and chemical method,the water absorption can be descent,and then the workability of new recycled concrete can be changed.
