| Abstract: | The corrosion and corrosion causes of the oil storage tanks were analyzed. It was pointed that the magnetic leakage examination technique could more accurately reveal the true nature of the corrosion of the bottom plates of the tanks than the conventional ultrasonic method. The combined coating and electrochemical protection was the optimal approach for controlling the corrosion of the bottom plate of the tanks. |
