| Abstract: | Knowledge originated from image processing is described in detail. An application of image processing expert system applying knowledge engineering to the processing of images is analyzed. The knowledge structure and inference structure are described with several examples. The limitations of current computational image processing based on knowledge is summarized. A schema aimed at solving these limitations is put forward. The future development potential in applying knowledge engineering to this field is evaluated. |
