文化语境适应论视角下的中餐菜名翻译

摘    要:
同一切言语交际活动一样,翻译也是一个连续选择的过程。译者要适应具体的交际语境和交际对象,选择相应的翻译策略。为实现交际目的,直译、音译加直译、意译、直译加注释等都是翻译中餐菜名的可行方法。耶夫·维索尔伦的语言适应论为中餐菜名的翻译及其研究提供了参考依据。

Abstract:
The present thesis probes into the influences and impacts of linguistic adaptation on the translation of Chinese dish names, Like any other verbal communicative activities, translation is a consecutive process of choices. Translators must choose appropriate translation strategies to adapt to correlated communicative contexts and objects. In order to achieve successful communication, translators may choose literal translation, transliteration plus literal translation, liberal translation when translating Chinese dish names. A comprehensive analysis of dishes in Chinese food in cultural contexts is made from the perspective of linguistic Adaptation Theory by Jeff Verschueren.
