Abstract:Pickering emulsion has been widely used in many fields because it possesses unique properties such as strong stability, good biocompatibility and environmental friendliness. Although it is necessary for the emulsion to has strong stability, it is also important to achieve rapid demulsification through an appropriate trigger mechanism in practical applications. Stimuli-responsive Pickering emulsion have attracted great attention in recent years owing to their particular characteristics. It was found that they can easily achieve reversible emulsification and demulsification under the stimulation of specific factors. Early researches were focused on single stimulus responsive Pickering emulsion. Very recently, researchers discovered that dual or multiple stimulus responsive Pickering emulsions have more advantages and wider applications. Therefore, this article summarizes the related researches of stimuli-responsive Pickering emulsion, focusing on the types and applications of dual stimulus responsive Pickering emulsion, and prospects the future research prospects of stimulating Pickering emulsion.
