Abstract:
The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) has been utilized to investigate the mutual dependence of the various components and factors that enable a decision to be made on the uncertainties surrounding fire safety. In the example chosen to illustrate this technique which can quantify the variation in opinion and interpretation of requirements, a priority vector has been determined for the attainments of fire safety which hitherto would have been arrived at by the Delphi Technique.
