略谈古代建筑的“倾壁”

在我国古代建筑中，蕴藏着一种设计式样，就是将垂直墙面，故意做成斜墙面。按形取意叫它“倾壁”。“倾壁”在我国古代建筑中广泛流传。最早可追溯到新石器时代。“倾壁”的作用有防护、防卫、房屋内部扩大空间、增加艺术效果等。“倾壁”已在更多的外国建筑中运用，成为当代的“摩登”设计手法。

A brief discussion on the "falling Wall" of Ancient Architecture

In traditional Chinese architecture, there is a design style called "Qing bi"which deliberately makes the vertical wall into inclined wall.
